Mild Vanilla Casein

Tigerwhey Mild Vanilla Casein is a Danish developed premium grade casein protein manufactured by ultrafiltration of fresh skim milk. This method provides the highest nutritional value, excellent taste, and a complete range of essential amino acids (EAA) including the vital branched chain amino acids (BCAA).

Why Mild Vanilla flavor?

We developed the Mild Vanilla Casein formula after receiving requests from customers – mainly those on low-carb diets – who prefer less sweetness in their food. To serve our customers better, we made the Mild Vanilla flavor, that has the same great taste as Vanilla just with less sweetness and flavor. The milder flavor makes this powder very suitable for fruit smoothies, where it allows for clearer taste of the fruit itself.

Casein products are acid sensitive and thicken in the stomach. Because of the thickening it takes longer for the digestion to break down the casein into its amino acid subcomponents. In other words, you can see casein as a slow-digesting protein, releasing a stream of amino acids for muscle recovery and growth over 2-8 hours.

Caseins primary advantage

Casein’s primary advantage is the high concentration of slow release protein. Science shows that muscle synthesis continues for up to 48 hours after training. So, in order to get the full benefit of muscle growth from your training, it is important that your protein need is continuously covered for 48 hours. Casein is an ideal protein supplement to take before sleep to ensure a sustained release of protein during the night. Similarly, in the 48 hours after your training session, it is also very useful to take casein as a supplement with your meals if they are low in protein. In addition, you can take it as a stand-alone supplement in between meals.

Casein is milk protein

The source of the protein in casein powder is cow’s milk. Traditionally, the casein in cow’s milk was used to make cheese and whey protein was a side-product of that manufacturing process. In recent years with the increased demand for protein in sports food supplements, some dairy manufacturers have begun to extract the casein directly from skim milk using a complex filtering process. The end result is a spray dried casein protein powder with a protein concentration of 80-85%. Read more about casein.

In conclusion, casein protein from Tigerwhey provides an easy, convenient, and great-tasting way to increase your protein intake after your training. Moreover, casein is also helpful for weight management, because the slow digesting property gives a feeling of “fullness” for some hours. One serving of casein provides over half of your daily need of calcium, which is a nice fact if you live in Vietnam where the diet is generally low on calcium.

Choosing protein supplements from Tigerwhey gives you the peace of mind knowing that your protein is sourced from the best dairy manufacturers in Europe and New Zealand. All Tigerwhey protein powders are subject to food safety control and lab tests.

How to use mild vanilla casein

Serving Size

One serving size is 30 grams. The scoop you receive with the powder holds approximately 30 grams of powder when filled to the brim.

How to use

The casein powder comes ready for easy mixing. Simply add one scoop (30 grams) to 300 milliliters of cold water and shake until powder and water is well mixed. You can adjust the taste and thickness of your casein shake by mixing more or less water.

Please note that unlike whey powder that completely dissolves in water, casein powder does not completely dissolve in water and will have a little bit of texture. This is simply the nature of casein. Therefore, we suggest that you first add water to your shaker. After that, add the powder and then shake immediately to ensure the best mixing.

When to use

Any time of the day after exercise. Can be taken with or between meals. For optimal results consume in the evening before bed.
Depending on your body size, training regime, and protein intake requirements, use 1 – 5 servings daily.

Who can use

– Anyone undergoing a vigorous training or exercise routine
– Athletes seeking to optimize their nutrition regime
– Anyone wanting support for weight control

Advice

For healthy adults, consume enough protein to meet your daily protein requirements with a combination of high protein foods and protein supplements throughout the day as a part of a balanced diet and exercise program.
